Why coconut shell

Coconut shell is carbon in a dense, even form. The binder is tapioca starch and water — natural, odorless and neutral in taste. It burns far longer than wood charcoal and leaves the taste of the tobacco or the food alone.

How the charcoal is selected

This is carbon in its purest and most energy-dense form.

To live up to that claim, we took a close look at nearly fifty production sites in Indonesia and tested their charcoal for you through a long and rigorous selection process. The result speaks for itself.

Only under our own strict controls — together with our test engineers — does the charcoal travel from Indonesia to you.

Whoever met him saw him first: his laugh, his warmth, the line that always landed. The brand came right after. At some point the two could no longer be told apart. Partners became friends, friends became family.
